A comparison

School is like jail. The inmates sit around, bored out of their skulls. Sometimes, one of the inmates cracks a joke and his cellmates laugh. But the Warden quickly stops them. The inmates shouldn't be having any fun, he reasons. And then, it's lunchtime. The inmates are fed an extremely poor excuse for food. Then it's time to go out to the exercise area. Some prisoners play sports or run around. Others just talk. But it's time to go back inside. The convicts line up and trudge back to their cells.
